For a long time, I didn’t realize that changing your loading screen in sims 4 was even a possibility, so I stuck with the same boring blue one and hoped the time would pass quickly.

However, the more I’ve gotten into sims 4 mods and cc, I came across loading screen mods that allow you to change the game’s default loading screen!!

If we’re going to have to wait, might as well make it aesthetic.

(Another tip for faster loading times is to invest in a gaming laptop for faster and smoother gameplay. You can find my top pick for a sims 4 laptop here!)

These are override mods meaning you can only have ONE in your mods folder at a time, so choose wisely.

And if you’re interested in custom loading screens, you may also want a custom CAS background to make your game look even more unique. Here’s where you can find my list of favorite CAS backgrounds!

Best Sims 4 Loading Screens

Here’s a list of amazing and cute loading screens for sims 4. I know you’ll find at least one that you’ll want in your game!

I’ve gone through and highlighted my absolute favorites for your convenience, like the last one on this list!

1. Gradient & Sky Custom Loading Screens by Lotharihoe

We’re starting off with a favorite of mine and the one I personally use, the sims 4 loading screens from lotharihoe.

I LOVE sunrise 2 (it’s my go-to!) but sometimes I’ll switch to day 1, day 3, or night 2.

I feel like these are great as a basic, calming option that fits really well with the game. I like to think of them as maxis match loading screens.

There are also gradients you can download that aren’t much different from the regular loading screen, if you want something different, but don’t want to change it up too much!

2. Glimmerbrook Pink Mushrooms Loading Screen by ghostlycc

Just like when you’re choosing a wallpaper for your computer, you want to pick an image that is something you want to look at a lot.

I mean, let’s face it, loading screens in the Sims 4 are pretty frequent, and not all of us have the fastest computers, so we end up staring at those screens for quite a bit.

This pretty pink loading screen makes me feel like I’m looking into a fairy garden and is definitely something I wouldn’t mind looking at on a regular basis!

3. Old Sims 4 Loading Screen by Eca

If you want the classic sims 4 loading screen back, then this is the perfect solution for you.

The new blue loading screen definitely isn’t my favorite. At least this one had a little personality.

So if you’re not down with the changes, bring a little nostalgia to the game by downloading the OG loading screen!

4. Sims 4 Anime Loading Screens by StarrySimsie

I’ve got younger sisters who not only love the sims but also love Anime. These loading screens are just the kind of thing they would pick out.

And I know my sisters aren’t the only simmers out there who also have an obsession with Anime.

With these loading screens, you’re able to blend your two passions in a seamless way.

5. Cottagecore Sims 4 Loading Screens by clovercollector

I still remember when the Sims 4 Cottage Living came out and I was SO excited because it was exactly the kind of gameplay and cottagecore aesthetic I was looking for!

If you’re anything like me it’s still one of your favorite parts of the game and you won’t mind looking at the expansion’s beautiful world even more than you already do.

This HUGE collection comes with 102 loading screen replacements showcasing different scenes from around Henford-on-Bagley.

6. Winter Sims 4 Loading Screens by StarrySimsie

At the time of writing this post, we’re in the midst of Summer so Christmas and the holiday season may be the furthest thing from your mind.

However, it’s never too early to get prepped for your Christmas aesthetic, and what better way to do that than with these Wintery wallpapers and wrapping paper-inspired graphics.

7. Sims 4 Halloween Loading Screens by StarrySimsie

Speaking of holidays, it’s always the right time for a spooky vibe!

Everything that comes along with the leaves changing and the air getting a little crisper is so wonderful.

Get yourself ready for Simblreen with these beautiful fall-inspired loading screens.

8. Sixam Loading Screen Collection by ghostlycc

All of the loading screens in this collection transport me to another world.

A sci-fi fantasy world that’s inhabited by strange beings…it’s Sixam!

If you love aliens in the sims 4, this is the download you need in your cc folder!

9. Pride Loading Screens for Sims 4 by linsims

Something the sims 4 has recently been working on is making the game more inclusive for all people.

There’s always room for more though, right?

With this collection of pride loading screens, you’ll be getting a whole bunch of different flags that have been turned into beautiful gradients as a way to express yourself even more in your sims game!

10. Retro Inspired Loading Screens by MrsGerbit

These make me feel like a kid again!!

I can so vividly remember every one of these loading screens from all of the previous sims games, especially The Sims 2 loading screen.

I spent many, many hours waiting on that screen for the neighborhoods and my families to load.

If you’re looking for something to satisfy your sense of nostalgia, you have to get this loading screen pack!

11. Sims 4 Sulani Loading Screens by Katverse

Does anyone else need a vacation IRL to Sulani right now?

If you’re like me and a tropical beach vacation isn’t in your near future, hopefully, these loading screens can satisfy some of the beach vibes you’re desiring.

Random thought but I love how all of these almost feel like postcards!

12. Sims 4 Custom Loading Screens by Amakesh

I’m in LOVE with these loading screens. They’re another one of my favorites. I love the colored geometric backgrounds.

They’re all so simple yet pretty to look at, especially the purple.

13. Sims 4 Aesthetic Loading Screens by NekoChan-Simmer

These solid color aesthetic loading screens are perfect if you’re wanting something fairly simple, but are tired of looking at the basic blue EA chose.

All 12 of the loading screens you’ll have access to are pastels that will brighten your mood any time your sim is traveling.

14. Sylvan Glade Loading Screens by clovercollector

Let’s be honest, some of the sims worlds are absolutely breathtaking.

If you’ve never seen this one before, that’s because Sylvan Glade is one of the hidden locations in sims 4.

This is a great set of loading screens to act as a subtle reminder that there’s more to the Sims 4 than what you can see on the surface.

15. Cozy Christmas Loading Screens by ghostlycc

ooooo I LOVE Christmas aesthetic!!

There’s something about it actually being winter and snowing and playing the sims. It’s such a cozy vibe.

Replace your loading screen with one of these to always be in a festive, jolly mood.

16. Vaporwave Loading Screen for Sims 4 by Malixa

This loading screen is the PERFECT representation of vaporwave aesthetic!

The overall look and color choice are exactly what I would want from something in the vaporwave style.

It’s such a weird mix of nostalgia and future, but I’m here for it.

17. Custom Color Loading Screen by Ahinana

Here’s another favorite of mine because how PERFECT if you’re just wanting a simple and solid color loading screen.

The colors are SO good and it’s hard to choose just one.

I would recommend downloading a few, putting them in a folder on your desktop, and switching them out whenever you get bored with that color.

They do have a slight gradient like the current sims 4 loading screen, but they’re way more interesting to look at!

My personal picks out of this collection are Lavendar, Ultraviolet, Sunset, Paradise, and CottonCandy!

18. Sims 4 Town Loading Screens by Debbiepearl

If you love the different worlds in the sims 4 you’re in luck because here we have all of the sims 4 worlds as loading screens.

There are two downloads linked, the first set includes the earlier worlds of Sims 4 then the second set includes the more recent worlds.

Both of them include TONS of great loading screen downloads!

Whether you want a city skyline loading screen of San Myshuno or an academic aesthetic loading screen of Britchester, these collections have you covered!

19. Studio Ghibli Anime Loading Screens by StarrySimsie

OMG! I remember watching these movies growing up, like Spirited Away & Howl’s Moving Castle, so these loading screens hit me right in the nostalgia sweet spot.

If you’ve seen these movies, the loading screens will probably bring back happy feelings for you.

Even if you haven’t seen the movies that artwork is gorgeous and is mesmerizing to look at, so you’ll be able to enjoy them just the same.

20. Winter Mt. Komorebi Loading Screens by Katverse

We all know Mt. Komorebi is stunning in the winter, so it makes sense to have a whole pack of loading screens dedicated to just that.

Not only are the scenes beautiful to look at but I really love what Katverse has done with the editing to make the backgrounds bold and colorful.

Having these in your game is a great way to escape the heat of summer and capture those chill vibes.

21. Granite Falls Misty Forest Loading Screen by ghostlycc

As you’ve seen, ghostlycc makes some pretty incredible loading screens and this one is a fan favorite.

Personally, any time I am asked to think of my “happy place” I picture somewhere similar to this. There is something calming about dense, tall pine trees.

With how long some of the loading screens are it wouldn’t be the worst thing to have a peaceful image to keep your nerves under control.

22. Color Waves Aesthetic Loading Screens by StarrySimsie

These hand-drawn waves are exactly the kind of thing that I see and think, “I could do that”.

Then I try and it looks nothing like what I was expecting.

Lucky for me, and you, these aesthetic loading screens are already done for you and ready to go into your mods folder.

23. Henford-on-Bagley Loading Screens by Katverse

This collection of Henford-on-Bagley loading screens is similar to another pack mentioned earlier, but these are definitely warmer in tone and more realistic depictions of the world.

If you’re still looking for cottage living loading screens, you need one of these in your mods folder!

24. Cloudy Loading Screen Downloads by StarrySimsie

Since you can never have enough, here are more anime-inspired loading screens for sims 4!

This time they’re a bit more subtle and show vast skies and deserted city streets.

I personally love the night shot of the city street and the 5-panel sky loading screen.

25. Mt Komorebi Loading Screens by Caradriel

In contrast to the other Mt. Komorebi loading screens on this list, these aren’t entirely focused on wintertime.

They are, however, still gorgeous to look at. You can’t go wrong with any of the landscape loading screens included in the download.

26. Sims 4 Sky Loading Screens by Debbiepearl

These are VERY popular on modthesims, and for good reason.

With over 90,000 downloads, these 6 stylized skies are the perfect loading screens to give your boring loading screens that little bit of pretty aesthetic they needed.

I for one could get used to longer load times if I had something this peaceful to look at.

Weren’t all of these so freakin’ gorgeous?? I still wish we didn’t have loading screens in Sims 4, but at least this makes it a bit better.
