SIMS 4 SKILL CHEAT: COMPLETE LIST AND GUIDE

This post was last updated on December 1, 2022

The Sims 4 is a fantastic real-life simulator in its own right, but what’s the fun of simulating real-life without spicing it up a little? After all, you live your own real life every single day, and playing the vanilla Sims 4 experience can feel just as slow and monotonous especially early on in your adventure. Since the Sims are, as the name implies, simulations, why not try your hand at playing god?

Cheats on Sims 4 put the full power of the game in your hands and enable you to skip past all of the grinding, watching, and waiting that comes with the early beginnings of your game. Waiting for your Sim to level up their skills, in particular, is especially boring since it’s mostly a matter of setting them off to work and waiting for the skill to grow over time.

Instead of sitting around and waiting for your Sim to become a master of his craft, you can use a special cheat for Sims 4 that instantly sets a given skill to your desired level so you can get to work on more interesting tasks.

How to Use The Sims 4 Skill Cheats

Like most Sims 4 cheats, you can use each of these skill cheats in isolation without influencing other stats or game mechanics. You can truly play god and use Sims 4 cheats to fully manipulate your game, or you can use an individual cheat on Sims 4 to boost only the skills you need to maintain the integrity of your game.

In order to use Sims 4 cheats, you first have to enable them. Cheats are entered in the game’s cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C.

In the console, input the cheat code:

testingcheats true

Then, press enter to enable cheats. Next, switch your active Sim to the one you want to boost.

The skill level cheat is made up of three parts: the cheat, the desired skill, and the desired level. The format looks like this:

stats.set_skill_level

Without typing the “<>” brackets, you’ll fill in the unique code for each skill (listed below) and the desired skill level between 1-10. For example, if you want to boost your Sim’s comedy skill to level 10, your cheat will look like this:

stats.set_skill_level AdultMajor_Comedy 10

Importantly, note that toddler and child Sims have different skills from adult Sims. Make sure to use the skill cheats that correspond with your Sim’s age level or else nothing will happen.

Sims 4 Base Skills

The following codes represent the different adult skills in The Sims 4. Make sure to include the “Adult” prefix (shown in the example above) when you type these codes in, or they won’t work.
