The Sims 4 November update brought first-person camera to the game, a first for the franchise. There have been a few bugs so far, but it's still a cool feature to play around with nonetheless. So how do you use first person camera in The Sims 4? All the hot keys, as well as a refresher of more general camera controls and useful game shortcuts, are below.
How to use first person camrea
Shift + Tab
Enter/Exit First Person Camera mode.
Left Arrow / Right Arrow
Change which Sim you're currently controlling while in First Person Camera. (Even pets!)
Left Mouse Button
Interact with the world.
Right Mouse Button
Select the other side of doorways, walls, and floors. Allows traversal between rooms or across different floors.
Shift Key (Hold)
Control the mouse cursor and the User Interface while in First Person Camera.
Move your view around, separate from the direction your Sim is currently looking.
Snap the camera back to where your Sim is looking.
General Camera Controls
Pitch/ Tilt Control
In Sims 3 camera mode (which you can set in game options and allows you to control the pitch), adjust the angle freely by moving the mouse and holding down the middle scroll button. If your mouse has no center button, hold down Ctrl while scrolling or use the directional arrow to tilt the angle. If you are using a trackpad, ctrl + A/S/W/D for adjustments.
